Feedback from a passenger:

Today I literally lived in the clouds during my tandem paragliding flight. What does a cloud actually look like from the inside?

It feels as if you are floating in a misty dream and the air around you is saturated with thousands of tiny droplets of water. It’s quiet, almost surreal, as if the world outside didn’t exist for a moment. The temperature drops, you feel a fresh chill on your skin as the wind gently caresses your face. But then suddenly you break through the thick white blanket and the world unfolds at your feet again: the breathtaking landscape of Carinthia with its deep blue lakes and imposing mountains that seem endless.

The day began with the ascent to the summit of the Gerlitzen. Up by bus, gondola and finally the T-bar lift, while the landscape disappeared further and further below you. When I reached the top, I felt the tension building, put on extra layers of clothing, sturdy shoes and then joined in. One step and we were floating.

From the air, everything seems smaller, but at the same time much bigger. We flew over the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ossiach from a bird’s eye view, the wind carrying us playfully. A few acrobatic turns over the lake made the experience even more intense, as if we were part of the sky for a moment. It wasn’t just an escape, it was freedom, pure and unforgettable.

Thanks to my experienced pilot, I felt completely safe and was able to enjoy this sensational adventure to the full. What a day I will never forget.

The meeting point is directly at the landing site at the agreed time:

Moosweg, 9520 Treffen am Ossiacher See

You will find the landing site directly on Moosweg (Ossiacher See Straße junction), recognisable by a grey awning and a white banner with the words “Paragliding Ossiacher See”.

We fly with passengers from 20 kg to 120 kg.

We start with the paraglider from the most beautiful Carinthian mountains and are therefore dependent on the weather, a gliding flight from the Gerlitzen takes about 20 minutes. In good thermal conditions, our pilots will use the updraft to gain height and extend the flight to 30-40 minutes. For one run (ascent, preparation, take-off, flight and landing) 1.5 hours must be calculated.

There are no legal age restrictions for passengers. We fly with our younger guests from a weight of 20 kg, for children and young people up to the age of 18 the signature of a parent or guardian is required on the flight ticket. Many of our guests are under the age of 18, our youngest passenger was 5 years old and as you can see in our photo gallery, everyone had a great time.

Age doesn’t matter, as long as you are fit and can take a few quick steps in the terrain, nothing stands in the way of a tandem flight. The two oldest passengers who flew with fly4you were 78 and 82 years old and would want to fly again in a heartbeat.

If you can take a few quick steps and have no serious chronic illnesses, nothing stands in the way of a tandem flight. If you have a heart condition or other impairments, the pilot must be informed before the flight!

Yes, you can wear your glasses or contact lenses as normal, but we also recommend sunglasses, as the wind (approx. 35 km/h) and the strong sun can be annoying in summer.

The paraglider has developed into a safe flying device over the last few decades. Only simple and therefore very safe paragliders are used for tandem paragliding flights. In the hands of responsible and experienced pilots, they offer everyone the unique opportunity to fly. As with all sports, a certain residual risk cannot be avoided; most injuries (sprains, bruises) occur during the take-off run.

Many pilots have a fear of heights, the feeling when they look down from a tower or the edge of a cliff that they are being pulled downwards. With a paraglider, this fear is blown away, as soon as you lose contact with the ground, the fear of falling disappears and you can enjoy your flight!
