Feedback from a passenger:

Today I literally lived in the clouds during my tandem paragliding flight. What does a cloud actually look like from the inside?

It feels as if you are floating in a misty dream and the air around you is saturated with thousands of tiny droplets of water. It’s quiet, almost surreal, as if the world outside didn’t exist for a moment. The temperature drops, you feel a fresh chill on your skin as the wind gently caresses your face. But then suddenly you break through the thick white blanket and the world unfolds at your feet again: the breathtaking landscape of Carinthia with its deep blue lakes and imposing mountains that seem endless.

The day began with the ascent to the summit of the Gerlitzen. Up by bus, gondola and finally the T-bar lift, while the landscape disappeared further and further below you. When I reached the top, I felt the tension building, put on extra layers of clothing, sturdy shoes and then joined in. One step and we were floating.

From the air, everything seems smaller, but at the same time much bigger. We flew over the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ossiach from a bird’s eye view, the wind carrying us playfully. A few acrobatic turns over the lake made the experience even more intense, as if we were part of the sky for a moment. It wasn’t just an escape, it was freedom, pure and unforgettable.

Thanks to my experienced pilot, I felt completely safe and was able to enjoy this sensational adventure to the full. What a day I will never forget.

The meeting point is 15 minutes before the appointment directly at the landing site:

The minimum is 20 kg and the maximum 120 kg.

Paragliding is an outdoor sport. This means that we are dependent on the external conditions. We calculate a pure flight time of 20 – 30 minutes. Depending on thermals and weather conditions, 30 – 40 minutes are also possible. The total time, including preparations up to landing, should be around 2 hours.

There is no minimum age for us and also legally speaking. Young people under the age of 18 only need the signature of a parent or guardian. The main thing is that they have fun!!!

It’s not your date of birth that counts on a tandem flight, but your mobility! As long as you are able to take a few brisk steps, we can take off together without any problems. Even our oldest senior guests to date (85 years old) were thrilled!

You don’t have to be a competitive athlete – a normal physical condition is completely sufficient. The only important thing is that you can run a few quick steps at the start. If you have any health restrictions, please talk to your pilot before you jump – safety always comes first.

Yes, the glasses even protect you from the wind. Sunglasses may also be useful. Contact lenses are not a problem either.

Today, paragliding is regarded as a very safe leisure activity – especially tandem flights with experienced pilots and high-quality equipment. Possible dangers can be reduced to a minimum through prudent behaviour, especially during take-off and landing.

In fact, many passengers with a fear of heights report that they feel no discomfort whatsoever when paragliding. The reason: as soon as you take off, there is no direct connection to the ground – and therefore also the typical “feeling of height”. Instead of fear, the amazement at the view and the feeling of being as free as a bird quickly takes over.
